New hemp laws give local growers new hope

(ABC 6 News) – New laws take effect next month in Minnesota. Among them are regulations on hemp products that local growers say may just save their business. It is illegal for local growers to sell marijuana infused food and drinks. But that all changes on July 1 when the new law kicks in allowing versions of cannabis like CBD, to be added to food and drinks in the state. With the growing popularity of edibles like CBD gummies, local growers said that not being able to sell these products was killing their business.
