Despite high gas prices many are still planning to pack up the family and hit the road for July 4. AAA expects 42 million Americans to travel by car this weekend, marking the second highest travel season since the year 2000.

Even with higher airfare prices 3.55 million people are expected to the skies for the July 4 holiday. AAA notes that the average lowest airfare is still 14% higher than in 2021.
