Severe weather brought damaging winds and flash flooding across the area

Severe weather Tuesday evening brought damaging winds and flash flooding across the area, including significant flooding in Albert Lea. A flood watch was issued in some areas of NE Iowa Tuesday night, including in Albert Lea where excessive rain stranded vehicles and flooded roadways. Flooding also caused one homes foundation to give way near Frank and 8th St. in Albert Lea. There were also reports of multiple trees and power lines down in Buffalo Center and Forest City, IA. Also, a 68 mph wind gust was recorded at the Mason City Municipal Airport. There were no reports of anyone getting hurt.
