(ABC 6 News) – An Albert Lea shooting suspect is due back in Freeborn County Court Friday. Ben Vidal Moreno, 32, appeared on charges of manslaughter and two charges of 2nd-degree assault Thursday [Aug. 25], for the alleged shooting of a 45 year old Albert Lea man. Friday, Aug. 26, Moreno will appear again on two more 2nd-degree assault charges from 2021. He also has a pretrial for a 2021 drug possession charge scheduled for Sept. 2. His next appearance related to the Albert Lea manslaughter charges is scheduled for Oct. 26.
