AUSTIN, Minn. – An Austin woman accused of attacking police with a meat cleaver has accepted a plea deal in the case. Wah Ku Paw was arrested in January on multiple charges, stemming from a child welfare check, court documents state. Authorities say the 27 year old allegedly had a child strapped to her back when she assaulted officers as they arrived at her apartment. Police also described Paw’s behavior as erratic and say she struck and kicked an officer multiple times before being subdued. Her sentencing hearing is set for November 18.
