Former agent with Albert Lea Housing & Redevelopment Authority facing embezzement charges

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – A former agent with the Albert Lea Housing & Redevelopment Authority is facing embezzement charges. Marcie Marie Thumann is charged with one count of theft after prosecutors say she stole more than $200,000 of federally issued funds from the program for her own personal use. She’s facing federal prosecution because the Authority gets more than $10,000 a year from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
