The man arrested for a homicide south of Albert Lea last week waived extradition Tuesday in a hearing at the Hancock County Courthouse. 32 year old Ben Moreno, who was arrested on Thursday in rural Forest City in coordination with the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, is expected to be returned to the custody of Freeborn County in the near future, where he will face charges in connection to the death of 45 year old Juan Vasquez Jr. who was found fatally shot outside of a house south of Albert Lea. Multiple criminal charges are forthcoming, a release states.
