Southeast Iowa man convicted in 2020 domestic kidnapping sentenced

AUSTIN, Minn. – A southeast Iowa man convicted in a 2020 domestic kidnapping has been sentenced to prison. A judge ordered Keshaun Austin Baker Tuesday to three years and five months behind bars, with credit for 34 days already served. The 22 year old pleaded guilty in April to one count of kidnapping in connection to the incident in which Austin police say Baker forced a woman into a car at the YMCA, said he had a knife, and threatened to kill her. Charges of stalking, harassment, terrorist threats, and domestic assault were dismissed as part of a plea deal.
