The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim of a homicide at a residence south of Albert Lea last week [Tuesday]. Police said in a press releast that 45-year-old Juan Vasquez Jr. of Albert Lea was fatally shot during an altercation last Tuesday afternoon with a man he had a beef with. The shooting suspect has been identified as 32-year-old Ben Moreno. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting in what police said is an ongoing investigation.
