Austin families are getting a helping hand as kids head back to school. Each year, the Austin Early Risers Kiwanis, Faith Free Church, and the Eagles Club come together to raise money for the Kids Closet program at Austin’s elementary schools and Austin’s Head Start program. The annual donation began in 2015, with The Kids Closet program providing needed clothing for students in need along with community support to help schools replenish their supplies. Each Austin elementary site and the Austin Head Start program received $500 from the annual donation.
