Austin man charged with 2018 attempted murder and arson is going to jail

An Austin man charged with attempted murder and arson in 2018 is going to jail. In a recent amended court decision [Tuesday], Darrell James Wigham, who is currently incarcerated at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Stillwater was sentenced in Mower County District Court to more than 7 years in prison [88 months], for setting fire to a house at 304 11th Avenue SW in Austin in March of 2018, forcing the people inside to climb out onto the roof until they could be rescued. A judge also ordered the 34-year old to pay $87,500 in restitution.
