Reports of shots fired at Waseca Area Learning Center prompts lockdown

Reports of shots fired at the Waseca Area Learning Center prompted the Waseca Central Building into a lockdown, as well as other schools in the area. In an email to partents Superintendent Eric Hudspith stressed that there was no weapon found, and at no point were staff or students under any threat. He said the incident involved a person experiencing behavioral issues who was damaging equipment, and bamming on lockers. The person causing the chaos was apprehended after a short time and the school resumed its normal operations.
