(ABC 6 New) – The couple that owns Eddie’s Bar in Albert Lea appeared in Freeborn County Court Thursday on charges of illegal gambling. Stacia St. Romain and Michael St. Romain both face charges stemming from a 2021 undercover investigation at the bar on Marshall Street following two complaints. Michael St. Romain pleaded guilty on Thursday [Oct. 13] and was sentenced to pay $280 in court fees and fines and was ordered to remain on probation for one year and comply with the state’s requirements for lawful gambling. Stacia St. Romain’s trial has been scheduled for April 14, 2023.
