An electrical malfunction is being blamed for a house fire in Albert Lea that left one person injured. Fire Rescue responded to 411 Commercial St., early Monday morning (October 17th) and crews found the fire in the basement. The homeowner was safely evacuated and treated at the scene. No other injuries from the fire were reported. It took fire crews about an hour to put out hot spots and flames that had extended into the walls. Albert Lea Fire Rescue determined a wire nailed to a wooden beam sparked the blaze.
