AUSTIN, Minn. – One of two men involved in catalytic converter thefts in Austin has been sentenced. Austin police say during the drug raid of a home in May Juan Manuel Ordaz Sanchez, 22, of Austin also confessed to helping Christopher Oleson steal about $15,000 worth of catalytic converters from a business on Oakland Avenue W in Austin this summer [July 5]. Ordaz Sanchez was sentenced Thursday to six years and three months in prison on drug possession and theft charges. Oleson’s sentencing is scheduled for December 16.
