The Rochester Police Department says they are still conducting an investigation into a home burglary that happened over the weekend. Police officers responded to a residence on 5th Ave. Southeast Saturday and the 70-year-old man and 59-year-old woman who live at the home reported someone forced open the sliding glass door between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., and broke into safes in the house, before getting away with jewelry and checkbooks. Investigators are tallying up the value of the items reported stolen, and say the case remains active.
