Trial date set for two Albert Lea women in connection to homicide and robbery

ALBERT LEA, Minn. – Two Albert Lea women arrested in connection with a Freeborn County homicide and robbery are set to stand trial. Ashley Marie Estrada, 34, and Raquel Isabel Vasquez, 25, both are charged with second-degree burglary, stemming from the incident in which, Vasquez and Estrada had broken into a home, used the bathroom, and cooked some rice and beans, but said no one else was with them. Both were taken into custody during the serch of a home police believed an Albert Lea murder suspect was hiding. Estrada is set to stand trial on December 12. Vasquez’ trial is scheduled to begin on February 13, 2023.
