MASON CITY – A plea change hearing has been set for a Northwood man charged in a DUI head on collision that left two people hospitalized. A criminal complaint accused 29-year-old Tyler Litwiler of crashing into another vehicle near the intersection of US Highway 65 and 330th Street north of Mason City on January 3rd, in which two people were hospitalized. Litwiler was also injured in the crash. His blood alcohol content was more than 3x the legal limit. Litwiler was scheduled to be tried on December 20, but this week the judge approved setting a plea change hearing in the case for December 19.
