Snow covered roads are being blamed for a collision involving two semi’s on westbound Interstate 90 in Freeborn County Tuesday morning. The Minnesota State Patrol reported that the road was covered with snow and ice when one of the trucks crossed the median and struck another semi truck at milepost 164 in Bancroft Township.
Both drivers were taken to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Albert Lea for treatment of what were described in police reports as non-life threatening injuries, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office which assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene.
