Democratic Governor Tim Walz announced the final part of his budget proposal Tuesday, which includes tax rebate checks for millions of Minnesotans. Families making less than $150,000 a year would get $2,000 plus an additional $200 for each child, up to $2,600. Single filers making under $75,000 would receive $1,000. The proposal would need to pass through the rest of the state legislature to become law.
