AUSTIN, Minn. – An animal abuse case is being investigated by Austin Police. The Austin Police Department says officers responded to a home on 18th Street SE and the resident told them on Sunday that he found 12 blocks of rat poison that had been stuffed with meat in his backyard and believed someone was trying to poison his three Great Danes. Police say the dogs seem to be in good health. Anyone with information about the rat poison perpatrator is urged to contact Austin Police.
