St. Paul man arrested on drug charges during a traffic stop in Freeborn County

A South St. Paul man arrested on drug charges during a traffic stop in Clarks Grove pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of first-degree meth possession in Freeborn County District Court. Jeremy Jake Clarin, 42, entered the plea as part of an agreement with the Freeborn County Attorney’s Office. Court documents state that deputies confiscated almost a pound of methamphetamine in his vehicle when he was stopped on Interstate 35 March 28, as part of an undercover narcotics trafficking investigation. He is expected to receive a sentence of eight years and 11 months at his sentencing on Feb. 15.
