Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) – An Austin man has escaped jail time in connection to a high-profile Rochester embezzlement case. 57-year-old Thomas Wiechmann was sentenced Tuesday afternoon to 3 years probation on a charge of theft by swindle. The former CFO for Rochester’s Reichel Foods is accused of stealing more than $600,000 from the company between 2013 and 2019. He had worked for the company since 1997. Another high-ranking company official was also charged and her criminal case is still pending.
