AUSTIN, Minn. – Getting caught sleeping in a car led to a prison sentence for a St. Paul man. Elijah Denton II was arrested in August 2021 after Austin Police say the 29 year old was seen passed out behind the wheel and then sped off nearly hitting two officers, before stopping and trying to flee on foot. Police caught up with the fleeing felon on 5th Avenue NE and learned he had a warrant out for this arrest. He’s been sentenced to one year and seven months in prison.
