A power outage caused by a downed power pole from a traffic accident left many in the area without electricity Tuesday. A brief blackout occurred along Highway 69, and brown outs in the western residential areas of Forest City and at Waldorf University, after the accident on Highway 69 and the Crystal Lake Blacktop. Crews said repairs to the broken pole will be tough because the ground is frozen.
