Worth County burglary case going to trial after teen suspect pleads not guilty

NORTHWOOD, Iowa – A Mason City teen is pleading not guilty to stealing two guns in Worth County. Jesup John Allan Ward, 18, is now scheduled to stand trial beginning April 12. He is accused of breaking into a home Jan. 2 in the 100 block of South Broadway Street in Manly where police say a 9 mm handgun and a 45 caliber handgun were stolen. Ward is also charged with armed robbery of Casey’s General Store. He has not entered a plea for that crime.
