Albert Lea man accepts plea deal in 2020 undercover drug sting

ALBERT LEA, Minn. – An Albert Lea man has accepted a plea deal in connection to a 2020 undercover drug sting in Freeborn County. Michael Ray Sanders Jr., 50 is accused of selling almost 15 grams of meth to a confidential informant, in connection to an ongoing South-Central Drug Unit investigation. Sanders pleaded guilty Wednesday to third-degree drug sales, and as part of the plea agreement several other charges were dismissed. His sentencing is set for May 26.
