(ABC 6 News) – An Austin man appeared in Mower County Court Monday [March 20], following a traffic stop turned police chase earlier this month. Weston William Zuehl, 40, is facing a number of charges stemming from the March 8, incident in which he led police on a 15-mile chase that crossed into Iowa and Freeborn County, before abandoning the vehicle and fleeing on foot. Tracks in the snow helped lead police to the fleeing felon who they found laying face-down in the snow, according to Minnesota Court Records. A July 31 trial date has been set for Zuehl.
