MASON CITY – More details have been released about a Mason City man facing multiple arson and burglary charges following a Tuesday morning crime spree. Zachary Sankey, 39, was arrested after authorities linked him to a 5:20am fire on South Kentucky, another fire a short time later along Birch Drive, a fire an hour later on 4th Southwest, and about 20 minutes after that, Brothers Ace Hardware on South Illinois reported a burglary and fire. He’s being held on a $15,000 bond. The investigation is continuing.
