(ABC 6 News) – A former staff member at an adult foster home in Albert Lea could be facing criminal charges for stealing thousands of dollars from one of the patients. The accusations follow an investigation by the Department of Human Services that revealed at least $11 thousand dollars was taken from the victim over the course of two years by a former employee who authorities say used the stolen money to buy personal items. The facility itself was issued a two hundred dollar fine. The Albert Lea Police department said they are continuing to investigate.
