Hartland man accepts plea deal in Freeborn County domestic assault and arson cases

A Hartland man pleaded guilty Wednesday in Freeborn County District Court to domestic assault and arson as part of a plea agreement in two separate cases. Court documents state in both cases Jeremy Kent Posey is accused of assaulting a woman. Posey was also charged with setting fire to a barn that burned a vehicle. In the arson case he faces up to 10 years probation. In the domestic assault case, the agreement calls for probation concurrent with the other case. Posey’s sentencing is slated for June 16.
