How to demolish a hazardous Wells City building is being debted. The Wells City Council learned it could be more complicated and costly than anticipated, because there is a specific statutory process which must be followed. To save money the city has to get consent from the owner to tear down the uninhabitable structure, problem is they can’t reach the person who owns the property. The Council is expected to explore other options available, including having the HRA take ownership and report back at a later meeting.
