AUSTIN, Minn. – The investigation into the theft of multiple firearms last year has resulted in one person going to prison and another getting probation. The Austin Police Department says, April Taylor Arends, 28, and Bradley Blaine Beckstead, 32, both of Austin, were linked to a burglary of a home on 6th Avenue NW January 28, 2022. where the victim said 10 firearms were stolen. Both suspects accepted plea deals in the case. Arends was sentenced to one year of probation. A judge ordered Beckstead to five years in prison, with credit for 246 days already served, according to court documents.
