MANTORVILLE, Minn. – An Austin man accused of pulling a knife on people and resisting arrest in Dodge County has accepted a plea deal. Jeremiah Phelps has pleaded guilty to second-degree assault, stemming from the January 8 incident at the Oaks Country Club in Hayfield, in which Phelps allegedly threatened a man with a knife, told a deputy to shoot him and then tried to flee until he slipped on some ice and fell on his face. The 37 year old is due to be sentenced on July 26.
