Austin man charged after six hour police standoff accepts plea deal

(ABC 6 News) – An Austin man who held police at bay for six hours during a police standoff in March pleaded guilty to robbery and weapons charges in Mower County Court Friday. Terrance Gustaf Book, 29, was arrested in March on multiple warrants, including aggravated robbery from last year [2022]. The weapons charges are related to his March 2023 arrest. Book’s plea agreement specifies that he will serve a minimum sentence of 60 months in prison for each case – but the sentences will be served concurrently. Book’s remains jailed awaiting sentencing.
