Austin woman convicted in 2022 overdose deaths sentenced twice

An Austin woman convicted for the overdose deaths of two people last year recieved two separte prison terms.
Yashica Shenay Thomas was charged with felony 3rd degree murder in Mower County District Court stemming from the deaths of a 23-year old Austin man, and 22-year old Austin woman who died from fentanyl Thomas sold them. Thomas pleaded guilty to both felony murder charges, and a judge recently ordered the 43 year old to just over seven years in prison, along with a more than nine year prison sentence, both of which will be served concurrently, the judge ruled.
