Austin’s oldest funeral home is once again under local ownership. Worlein Funeral Home purchased Mayer Funeral Home and took over the business late last week [April 27]. The new owner said he bought the Rochester funeral home to make sure the community is still being served and Mayer Funeral Home is locally owned again.
The business will remain the same other than changing the name to Mayer-Hoff Funeral Home, he said.
