Authorities are investigating a shots fired incident outside of a Faribault home early Friday morning. Police said officers responded to a Sixth Street NW address and the residents said they were awakened by “loud pounding on the door” before the suspect fired two gunshots and fled on foot. A preliminary investigation suggests the suspect may know the residents. A 24-year-old Faribault man was arrested during a traffic stop and is being held in Rice County Jail pending charges, Faribault Police Chief said in a statement.
