Four Seasons Coffee in Albert Lea charged with defrauding customers

The owner of Four Seasons Coffee in Albert Lea charged after a whistleblower informed authorities he “knowingly and intentionally misled hundreds of customers,” has been sentenced. David William Nelson pleaded guilty in October to felony misbranding, stemming from accusations he plotted to charge customers for 5lb bags of coffee even though he had reduced the amount in each bag by half a pound, from 2014 to 2018, though court documents reflect the actions began as early as 2012.
