Albert Lea conservation officer being hailed hero for his quick actions helping save a life

ST. PAUL, Minn. – An Albert Lea conservation officer is being hailed a hero for his quick actions in helping save a life. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is honoring Jeremy Henke who used an automated external defibrillator (AED) in May on a fisherman in distress and delivered a shock to the victim before he was rushed to the hospital. Colonel Rodmen Smith, director of the DNR Enforcement Division, praised Henke for answering the call of duty and said this recognition is “well-deserved.”
