A Clarks Grove man is now facing multiple charges after he reportedly led authorities on a high speed chase in a stolen vehicle last week. Shwe Thaung, 28, was charged Friday in Freeborn County District Court with four felonies, and four misdemeanors, including drug possession and DUI. Court documents state the vehicle was stolen from a Clarks Grove mobile home park and when a deputy reportedly tried to pull over the car the driver refused to stop, prompting a police pursuit that reached speeds of over 100 mph, before the suspect crashed.
