Collegues bid farewell to Austin’s first county administrator who announced she is stepping down to take a similar position closer to family. It was a bitter sweet moment as commissioners unanimously voted to accept the resignation of Trish Harren during this weeks [Tuesday] Mower County Board of Commissioners meeting, with one administrator tearing up at the news. Harren has been with the county since 2018. Her last day will be Aug. 4.

Interviews for the new county administrator will take place at the end of July as the county seeks to move quickly on finding Harren’s replacement.
