The Freeborn County Board of Commissioners recently approved a joint trail action plan that discusses the development of the former Union Pacific Railroad property owned by the county. The plan has been in the works for eight months with the city of Albert Lea looking at goals for the trail, what the existing conditions are and the next steps in the development process. The trail would start in Albert Lea and continue north to Hartland.
