Freeborn County man charged in 2022 domestic arson incident accepts plea deal

A Freeborn County man charged with arson in connection to a domestic incident has accepted a plea deal. Jeremy Posey pleaded guilty in March to one count of second-degree arson and one count of domestic assault, stemming from a 2022 case in which Posey assaulted a woman and then started a fire that burned a Hartland barn and a car Posey drove into the barn while it was on fire. He was sentenced Friday to five years of probation.
