Investigation continues into crash near Albert Lea that left four people hospitalized

Alcohol was not a factor, investigators say, in a two car crash on Interstate 35 near Albert Lea that sent four people to the hospital Sunday afternoon. It is unclear what led to the crash, but the Minnesota State Patrol says a car driven by a 53 year old Arizona woman was northbound on I-35 at mile marker 12 when she collided with a vehicle heading in the opposite direction. Both drivers and their passengers were taken to Mayo Clinic in Albert Lea for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
