An Air Quality Alert is in effect today through Saturday afternoon in SE Minnesota. The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency said smoke from wildfires in Alberta and British Columbia is moving south across Minnesota resulting in poor air quality. Sensitive groups, such as people with respiratory issues, as well as children and older adults, should limit outdoor activities and keep windows closed to prevent smoke from getting indoors.
