An Albert Lea man arrested during a traffic stop on drug charges is going to jail, but not for long. Gregory Hughes entered a plea of guilty to “Possession of a Controlled Substance,” a serious misdemeanor, stemming from the traffic stop by the Forest City Police Department on March 2, 2023. Hughes accepted a plea deal in the case and was sentenced to two days in jail. The judge also ordered Hughes to get a substance abuse evaluation and follow through all recommended drug treatment.
