ALBERT LEA, Minn. – An Albert Lea man has entered a not guilty plea in connection to a fatal drive by shooting in Freeborn County last year. Ben Vidal Moreno, 33, is accused of firing a shotgun at an SUV leading to the death of Juan Vasquez Jr., 45 of Albert Lea, on August 9, 2022, court documents state. A witness said Moreno and Vasquez had exchanged threats to kill one another over a dispute involving a package. Moreno is scheduled to stand trial on November 13.
