A 2022 assault in Mower County resulted in jail time for an Albert Lea man. 22-year old Austin Matthew Williams was sentenced Thursday to 60 days in jail for a felony charge of 3rd degree assault, as part of a plea deal. Williams was also convicted and sentenced Thursday to three years of supervised probation for assaulting a police officer. Williams will be allowed to serve the two sentences concurrently when he begins serving his jail term on February 3rd, 2024.
