AUSTIN, Minn. – A final sentence has been handed down in connection to a traffic stop turned drug bust in Mower County last year. Shane Thomas Rose, 46 of Claremont, and Brittany Nichole Brown of Austin were pulled over in April 2022 by Austin police, who found 27.82 grams of methamphetamine in the vehicle. Brown pleaded guilty to second-degree drug possession and was sentenced to four years probation. Rose has been given time served after pleading guilty to DWI.
